Why Omicron spreads so fast

New data suggests Omicron's lightning fast spread doesn't seem to be related to a higher viral load in the people it infects but rather its because of a cunning ability to evade SARS-CoV-2 immunity in those who have been either vaccinated or contracted the disease.

In a few short weeks Australia has gone from having one of the tightest lids on Covid in the world to being declared a 'danger zone' by the European Union, thanks to the spread of the Omicron variant.
