A new international stem cell research centre, backed by up to $475 million in funding over 10 years from the Novo Nordisk Foundation has been established across three world-leading institutions, including Melbourne's Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI).
The new Novo Nordisk Foundation Centre for Stem Cell Medicine (reNEW) aims to develop new drugs and therapies using human stem cells for heart, respiratory and kidney disease, diabetes and cancer.
