While the TGA has been tight lipped about recent reports of threats aimed at its staff, it has emerged that anti-vaxxers have undertaken a string of campaigns to tie up resources and distract the regulator from its work, since the beginning of the pandemic.
Last month, the Public Health Association of Australia (PHAA) issued a statement condemning "recent report of threats, intimidation and harassment" aimed at TGA staff but CEO Terry Slevin has been reluctant to disclose further details insisting, "what little I know I'm not keen to highlight except to say these are serious threats".
