September PBS listings climb to eight

Six companies have expanded their drugs on the PBS this month, with MSD securing a long-awaited multi-indication listing for its blockbuster while two companies scored a double win.

GSK’s Nucala 100 mg/mL pre-filled pen, previously reimbursed for certain patients with (uncontrolled) asthma and chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps has become the first biologic treatment to be added to the scheme for adults living with uncontrolled chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Welcoming the news, GSK Australia Vice President and General Manager, Andrew Thomas, said that the company “is committed to improving outcomes for people living with respiratory diseases”.
