Pfizer's $53M drug under threat
The first generic version of Pfizer’s JAK inhibitor Xeljanz has been registered in Australia by Accelagen.
The TGA approved Accelagen’s generics of the 5mg strength and the 10mg strength under three brand names – Tofadoz, Tofacitinib Lupin, and MSN Tofacitinib.
In the year to April, Xeljanz earned Pfizer $53,174,589 million in pre-rebate PBS benefits, with the 5 mg strength contributing over $48.1 million to that figure.
