Best managed pharmas crowned

Pharmaceutical companies are again listed amongst the best-managed companies, with more pharmas joining the rankings in an annual list compiled by the Drucker Institute.

Johnson & Johnson was again the highest ranking pharma on the list, despite slipping slightly from sixth to ninth place overall. It led an increased pack of pharmaceutical companies, with 10 making the Management Top 250 list this year compared to nine last year.

The Management Top 250 includes the highest-ranking companies from a larger list of 842 US companies that are part of the Dow Jones US Total Stock Market Index or the S&P Composite 1500 Index, and met one other criteria from the three options of being in the S&P 500 on 30 June 2024, having a market cap of at least US$10 billion on that date, or having a market cap of US$6 billion and revenues of US$3 billion.
