TGA ticks updates to big names

Some updates to big names have hit the ARTG, including a next-gen vaccine and new forms for big drugs.

Moderna's next-gen Covid vaccine has hit Australia, with mNEXSPIKE being registered on the ARTG. It's indicated for active immunisation to prevent coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by SARS-CoV-2 in individuals 12 years of age and older.

While Spikevax codes for the whole spike protein of SARS-CoV-2, mNEXSPIKE only codes for the N-terminal domain and the receptor-binding domain of the spike protein, allowing for a much smaller dose of 10 mcg, compared to 50 mcg for Spikevax.
