PBS listing lands just in time

Arrotex is stepping in to fill the hole created by the discontinuation of a hypertension drug from next month.

ARX-Telmisartan/Amlodipine was listed on the PBS this month, subsidised for patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy. It's a generic version of Boehringer Ingelheim's Twynsta, which the pharma is discontinuing in Australia, as well as its own generic Pritor/Amlodipine.

"Boehringer regularly evaluates our product portfolio to ensure optimal allocation of resources and strategic focus," a Boehringer spokesperson told Pharma in Focus.
