Plot thickens: new play in sale saga
There's a new complication in the unwilling buyout of Mayne Pharma by Cosette, with another party coming in with an offer for part of the company.
Indonesian pharmaceutical company Pyridam Farma has made an offer to buy Mayne's pharmaceutical manufacturing plant in Salisbury, South Australia, according to reports in The Australian.
The Salisbury plant has become a bone of contention in the buyout, with Cosette raising the ire of state and federal governments by saying it would shutter the plant if forced to follow through with its agreement to buy Mayne Pharma for $672 million.
