CSL conquers new Kingdom

CSL Seqirus has launched in the Middle East, signing a deal with Saudi Arabia for access to advanced cell-based seasonal and pandemic influenza vaccines while boosting localised manufacturing in the country.

It's the Aussie giant's first expansion into the Middle East, and is part of a push to expand access to new markets that face a high flu burden by partnering with governments.

Under the agreement CSL Seqirus will provide its cell-based seasonal and pandemic influenza vaccines and work with Vaccine Industrial Company (VIC), a prominent Saudi vaccine company, to localise manufacturing at VIC's new facility in Sudair City.
