Aussies sue over 'ineffective' drugs
Johnson & Johnson Pacific is defending a class action in Australia's Federal Court accusing the company giant of knowingly selling medication that is ineffective.
The class action covers cold and flu medication sold under the Benadryl, Codral, and Sudafed brand names, covering 21 total products now sold by Kenvue, which became a standalone company in 2023 when J&J demerged its consumer healthcare arm.
The allegations cover lengthy periods of time which vary depending on the product, with the longest period being since 2005.
