Pharma exits 27 markets
Lundbeck has announced it will bow out of 27 markets and lay off 602 staff members globally as it transitions to a new commercial partnership model, but the Australian team has been spared.
The company will retain in-country commercial operations in Australian and 21 other markets but its decision to exit 27 countries means its presence on the ground globally will be more than halved.
Under the new operating model, Lundbeck has entered into "open-ended multi-year" contracts with Swixx Group, Zuellig Pharma and NewBridge Pharmaceuticals for sales, marketing, access and distribution of Lundbeck medicines in the countries it is leaving.
