How generous was pharma in 2024?

Medicines Australia has released the Patient Organisation Support Transparency Reports, showing the pharmaceutical industry donated more than $10 million in 2024.

According to MA 31 member companies submitted reports, revealing a total of $10,243,241 in donations from pharma to 134 patient organisations to support 417 projects across the calendar year 2024. Pharma in Focus examined the data in the reports to determine which companies were the most generous, and which organisations received the most dollars.

Only 28 reports were originally listed on the site, and this story has been updated to include the three reports published later, which included Novartis, Organon, and Kyowa Kirin.
