2025's biggest drug launches tipped

A curated list of the Top 10 biggest potential drug launches of 2025 has been unveiled - and some are likely to hit the Australian market this year as they start their run to blockbuster status.

The annual list developed by Evaluate ranks the drug candidates by potential sales in 2030 with Vertex's latest cystic fibrosis (CF) offering known as 'the Vanza triple' named as the biggest 2025 approval decision.

Considering the success of Vertex's existing CF franchise, Evaluate forecasts that sales of the Vanza triple, which combines vanzacaftor, tezacaftor and deutivacaftor, will hit US$8.3 billion in 2030. The TGA accepted the drug for review in September 2024.
