MedAdvisor expands into Asia

Melbourne-based digital medication management outfit MedAdvisor has signed a Heads of Agreement for a 50:50 joint venture with Singapore-headquartered Zuellig Pharma to commercialise its medication management platform in Asia.

Under the deal, MedAdvisor will supply its core IP to the joint venture (JV) on a royalty-free basis to develop local versions of the platform, focusing first on markets with similar prescription models to Australia such as the Philippines and South Korea. Those two markets have close to 50,000 pharmacies between them.

Zuellig Pharma, one of the biggest healthcare services providers in the region with a close to century-long presence there, will then market the JV's product to its network of pharmacies, clinics and pharma manufacturers.
