$1.6B disease few Aussies know

More Australians die from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) than from prostate and breast cancers combined, according to a new report backed by Sanofi Australia.
And an Australian is admitted to hospital with the incurable and progressive lung condition every 10 minutes, according to the report, Change that can’t wait: Reducing the human and economic burden of COPD in Australia, prepared by consulting firm Evohealth, and published this week.
