Doctors want the Federal Government to beef up regulations around the use of AI in health communications, after a rise in deep-fake videos attempting to scam the public into buying potentially harmful treatments for serious illnesses.
The Australian Medical Association (AMA) has written to Federal Communications Minister Anika Wells, urging the government to introduce clear and enforceable regulations on health-related advertising online.
