Western Australia has become the first state or territory in Australia to confirm an immunisation program using Sanofi's Beyfortus, committing $11 million to offer babies protection against respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).
The state-funded program announced yesterday (Tuesday) will begin next month in preparation for winter when seasonal outbreaks of RSV often occur in children.
