Covid burnout hits TGA staff

The breakneck speed at which the TGA has assessed and approved COVID-19 vaccines and treatments has left the team exhausted with boss Professor John Skerritt revealing he has "welfare concerns" for his hard-working staff.

At Senate Estimate hearings this week, Skerritt detailed the unrelenting work associated with the pandemic, requiring staff at times to be on-duty seven days a week and work through holiday periods to get the job done.
