New future for medical affairs

The first academic research of its kind into the impact of medical affairs on quality use of medicines is being conducted in Australia and once complete could drastically change both the face of the profession and patient care.

Amgen Australia Medical Affairs Director Matthew Britland is part-way through a PhD thesis that is investigating the role of the profession and how it can improve quality use of medicine - an area where surprisingly, there's next to no research available globally.
