Government trips up on TRIPS

Posted 15 September 2021 AM

Pressure from Medicines Australia and AusBiotech appears to have triggered a backflip from the federal government on the controversial patent waiver for COVID-19 vaccines and therapies, with Trade Minister Dan Tehan's words of support for the scheme just last week, now characterised as "part of a continuing discussion".
